Logie Old Kirk sits in the shadow of Dumyat, a small hill at the western end of the Ochils.

The Parish of Logie is one of the oldest in Scotland, dating from the reign of King David I. There has been a church on this site since 1183. The present ruin dates from around 1684. It is worth popping into the churchyard and looking around - some of the gravestones are very old and include a couple of Viking Hogsback Stones.

A brief plateau on the hillside above the church is known as Witches Craig. According to legend, in 1720, the Witches of Logie danced with the Devil here, who took the form of a black dog with a blue torch attached to his hind quarters.
