The Old Blackness Water Pump

This picture of the old water pump in Blackness is for sale.

It comes as a canvas, a framed print, a framed mounted print or an acrylic.

Why not take a look at my other pictures of West Lothian.
This elegant cast-iron baluster hand pump sits against a wall opposite a block of flats, just off the main square in Blackness village, on the southern shore of the River Forth. It has a plaque which states that it was "The gift of Alexander McLeod Esq., Halifax, N.S., to the inhabitants of Blackness, his native village. 1875".

The pump is an S.Owens No. 14 Ornamental Pump, but the ill-fitting cap is from a Glenfield & Kennedy water pillar, and is probably a later replacement.
