The Old Blackness Water Pump, Blackness, West Lothian, Scotland
The Old Blackness Water Pump |
This picture of the old water pump in Blackness is for sale.
It comes as a canvas, a framed print, a framed mounted print or an acrylic.
Why not take a look at my other pictures of West Lothian.
This elegant cast-iron baluster hand pump sits against a wall opposite a block of flats, just off the main square in Blackness village, on the southern shore of the River Forth. It has a plaque which states that it was "The gift of Alexander McLeod Esq., Halifax, N.S., to the inhabitants of Blackness, his native village. 1875".It comes as a canvas, a framed print, a framed mounted print or an acrylic.
Why not take a look at my other pictures of West Lothian.
The pump is an S.Owens No. 14 Ornamental Pump, but the ill-fitting cap is from a Glenfield & Kennedy water pillar, and is probably a later replacement.
