This picture was taken in June 2017. The sun had gone down by this point and twilight was setting in, but there was a tremendous afterglow lighting up the horizon in the west. I balanced the camera on the wall immediately below the Forth Bridge - no tripod - and grabbed the shot.

The picture was taken on the same night as this picture of the Forth Bridge.
