The River Almond, flows beneath the Nasmyth Bridge in Almondell Country Park, near East Calder, West Lothian.

The 28 mile long Almond rises at Hirst Hill in Lanarkshire, before flowing via the centre of Livingston, through Almondell Country Park and finally draining into the sea at Cramond, near Edinburgh.

The 'A' listed Nasmyth Bridge was designed by the artist Alexander Nasmyth and built around 1800.
