Almondell Shelter

This picture of the Almondell Shelter is for sale.

It comes as a canvas (from £50.00), or an unframed print (from £1.20).

Why not take a look at my other pictures of West Lothian.
This little wooden shelter sits immediately below one of the arches of the Camps Viaduct in Almondell Country Park, West Lothian.

It was put there when the viaduct was undergoing restoration in the late 1990s, to prevent debris from falling on anybody passing underneath the viaduct, thus allowing the path through Almondell to remain in use.

The water beside the shelter is the feeder for the Union Canal. A few hundred metres on from here, it drains out of the River Almond, and runs for around three miles until it joins the Union Canal at the Lin's Mill Aqueduct.
