Staneyhill Tower, within Hopetoun Deer Park, sits at the top of a hill looking north over Hopetoun House and the Firth of Forth. It comes as a canvas, a framed print, a framed mounted print or an acrylic.

It was built around 1630, possibly by Sir James Murray of Kilbaberton or William Ayton, and was the seat of the Shairps of Staneyhill, Keepers of the King's Purse. Not much of this two-storey 17th century tower house remains; only the hexagonal stair tower, which is still at its original height, and fragments of the vaulted basement, including a kithen with a fireplace and oven in its gable.
The ruined villa is fenced off for public safety. I took this shot using the tripod to hold the camera over the top of the fence
